Today I’d like to share something new to me – ATC swaps. I know this has been going on for a long time but somehow I just never got it. What took me so long?! This is a great way to get your creative juices flowing without a lot of time (relatively speaking) investment since these little babies are only 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. I may have gone slightly overboard since this is my first one. I made 5 in this series, 3 to trade, 1 for the hostess and 1 to keep. I painted the angels with oil on canvas. When they were dry I fussy-cut them and applied them to a chipboard base which I had embossed and painted with acrylic. I added some die-cut leaves I made with the Tim Holtz Spring Greenery strip die. The text is from a vintage song book and the gold edge is gilder’s paste. Fun!
The swap group I joined is called Paper Traders and they are a great group of creative folks from around the globe. Besides the fun of making a whole bunch of new friends, one other part of this adventure I’m looking forward to is a sweet package on the porch when it is all finished! Art to share! What could be better? So here are the other four from this series and a separate one from the monthly Winner Take All swap. Let me know what you think in the comments!
Here’s the single for the WTA monthly swap:
